first you have to turn the mixed number into a improper fraction. Then you use the LCD aka least common denominator . Then you just add after that change it back to a improper fraction and their you go you have your answer.

When we use the whole number we multiply the the denominator and the whole number and whe add the numerator with the whole number.After we finisned we supposed to find the LCD to get the answer.Last thing we have to simplify if nesecary.

one step you can use is you can find the least common denominator,and then add the fractions.don't forget to add the whole numbers so at the end you will have a whole number and a fraction (mixed number)if you need to simplify do it.
